We offer scholarships & grants to help caregivers pay for their education.
The CIP is here to elevate caregivers and to help create a better, more respected, and more professional pathway for caregivers of all kinds.
We’re working hard to solve the national shortage of caregivers, one person at a time, and our scholarships and grants are a big part of that vision!
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible for a CIP scholarship or grant, you must be:
- A currently enrolled university student
- Interested in beginning or continuing employment as an in-home caregiver
- Committed to work as an in-home caregiver to receive funds awarded
- Willing and able to find your own position as an in-home caregiver
You do not need direct experience with caregiving!
All you need is an open heart, a willingness to learn, and a belief that everyone deserves to live with dignity.

Why does the CIP provide caregiver scholarships?
There is a national shortage of caregivers in the United States, and it’s a problem that affects our part of Michigan especially. If you are at all interested in caregiving (either as a part-time job or a career), then we want to empower you to take the first step!
We know that the national shortage can only be addressed one person at a time, and we’re committed to helping you on a personal level.
In addition to grants and scholarships, we offer free resources and Caregiver Academy training—helping you succeed far beyond the initial scholarship application.
